When I first emailed you, I noted that you submitted 5 stories all from your domain. I emailed you about the 2 Zemanta submissions and noticed that you had also submitted 3 more stories from your domain introducing your blog as a design blog and another submission entitled “Hello World!” (which in case you didn’t realize, both have no relevance to Business or Finance).
I sent you a polite warning to not submit your sites as such and you took this as an argument. We strive to provide good content to our users and you are clearly polluting the site with only your own submissions. This is not acceptable, especially as the submissions you have made have no relevance to the mission of the site. That is clearly why I sent you a “friendly reminder.”
Let me phrase this nicely: Please do NOT submit irrelevant content to Tipd. This is your last and final warning.
You have submitted 9 stories to Tipd thus far and only ONE of them, about Open Source, is semi-relevant to our site content.
Further, arguing with Tipd.com moderators is grounds for an irreversible ban.
Thank you for your immediate cooperation to this request.

My reply:
After I read your “friendly warning” I did not submit any content to tipd. It can be that there was a time span between you sent the email and I read it. But after reading it I did not submit anything. So because I read the warning I started to “argue” and then I got the mail that I’m banned – isn’t it strange? Just because I dare to open my mouth? By the way, you can ban me however you want I don’t really have taste anymore to tipd, it’s like a sect.

HAVE A SAY
![Reblog this post [with Zemanta]](http://img.zemanta.com/reblog_e.png?x-id=d67ff974-f04a-4cb8-9e78-79c3cd6c8b27)

After submitting 2-3 articles to tipd – both related to business, my IP was banned without even a warning! I’m a regular user of digg, stumbleupon, reddit and various other sites and this is the FIRST time this has happened. What’s worse is that there’s not even a warning system in place. I can’t even go to the site because I just get a white screen with “your ip has been banned”.
I emailed Tamar (tip’d moderator) and he said warning users “is not an efficient use of time for moderators”. He refused to unban my IP even after apologizing to him if one of my 2-3 posts submitted were somehow off-topic. I told him I just want to read the site and promise not to submit, he still refused.
Yet their FAQ reads “The Tip’d staff is committed to being an open community, and avoiding the ban first, ask questions later attitude that seems to permeate so many other social media sites.”
Very hypocritical.
