The ugliest google logo ever made in history

Now, as I launched google, the day dec 5 (xmas) welcomed me with this logo. I don’t only think it’s the worst google-made logo ever, but probably one of the worst in history as well. It really makes me rethink what kind of designers are working over there in Google inc. I saw some good ideas and some moderate ones from the top search engine but this one really rocks them all. For one day I try not to say that google is the top-search engine. Most probably I’m not gonna even use it today. It’s ugly, without good idea and sense. I hope it will be tomorrow soon in order that I can use my usual helpful google. Happy holidays!

I think you’re a little obsessed. I appreciate good design, but it’s really stupid to just be like ‘This temporary image is ugly, i’m going to completely ignore this website.’ It’s not even that bad; it doesn’t fit well with the page but it’s not awful.

…says the person that supposedly designs websites for a living…yet has a plain, boring, un-artistic website of his own. Seriously, did you design this with FrontPage or something?

The image itself is really nice and cozy, but they should have done something else to frame it instead of that fuck ugly border..

You don’t give one single reason why you think this logo is ugly. The logo is festive, creative and full of holiday spirit. Google doesn’t have to follow the exact guidelines of typical stick in sand logos, their branding is already established.
Worthless blog, with a worthless opinion. I don’t feel like giving a reason, seems to be the trend.

Huh? Why would you even….??

This isn’t even Art. There is no real puzzle here or even a universal meaning. It’s great that an older man is helping to make a toy for a child but how is that creative???

Please READ! I said want to come back to my “usual helpful google” and you say I’m obsessessed to make an early critic and to make such consequencies as “‘This temporary image is ugly, i’m going to completely ignore this website.’” – if you have read what I wrote you could see I meant the temporary image is ugly but I definatelly will come back. If I were a bit sap I’d say please take some reading lessons – it will be fine for you. lol

I don’t use FrontPage, I rather design with hardcore coding in a text editor
and I think I’ve got good design if you consider that I opened this blog 2-3 days ago and I use a template. Lol. but really, look at first the footer of any design who made it.

The foggy border is really taste-destroying.

I emphasize again that I like google, they are great brand. Only this logo somehow stays out from their good overall look and feel. I guess I gave reason to why I think it’s bad design. As for the trend thing: it seems “I must comment something disturbing and offensive” – because you don’t can’t live out your perversion elsewhere than on other’s blogs.

Thanks cathy! You saved this blog, I was thinking to close it up after such abnormal comments. So really thanks, you give me reason to continue. Who is not an artist can’t see that an unartistic logo is unartistic…

I’d like to hire you for a web design job. Could I please see a few of your previous projects?

It’s a bit awkward, but still definitely “seasony” and not offensive, so it’s A-OK with me
