What if you had a plugin you would activate and you could provide your readers the possibilities to take your article wherever they want on their mp3 players? Sounds nice right? Huh? How to make that? Well, you have the option to make as technologyreview does with a commercial audio podcasting service, namely: AudioDizer – Good news: there is a better option. It is called odiogo and it’s totally free! I’m not joking listen to my article by clicking on the “listen now” button under my title. I was very much surprised how easy it was to activate the plugin, it’s really hands on. FULL ARTICLE +

When I first emailed you, I noted that you submitted 5 stories all from your domain. I emailed you about the 2 Zemanta submissions and noticed that you had also submitted 3 more stories from your domain introducing your blog as a design blog and another submission entitled “Hello World!” (which in case you didn’t realize, both have no relevance to Business or Finance).
I sent you a polite warning to not submit your sites as such and you took this as an argument. We strive to provide good content to our users and you are clearly polluting the site with only your own submissions. FULL ARTICLE +

I have just tried out sweetcorn, All in One SEO Pack, SEO Smart Links, WP-Cumulus and they do nothing. I’m not a freebee in WordPress but I really could not make them work. Sure, sweetcorn is not a wp plugin and I did not try to use it as such. The other’s are and I find no sense in using them. Just to let know you. So I deleted them. The other plugin that basically bugs me is HelloDolly. Why is it included in Wordpress by default? What sense does it make? So I deleted hellodolly because I found the plugin directory…
Now, I’m trying some snaphot plugin and just a minute… They do nothing, I activated them and refreshed the site but nothing. FULL ARTICLE +

I found this great google map where you can try out which bomb would which kind of damage. There is 2 more App where you can calculate the damage one is built by FAS: link, the other one is by the CSS expert Eric Meyer: link – this one is quite advanced. But the Carlos Labs Ground Zero production was the ultimate source I was stucked by so here it is:

By the way I wanted to drop some lines about the latest WordPress upgrade. First time I installed it I felt I’m using a platform I’ve never used. I felt chaos, the buttons looked ugly, some still do. So then I downgraded, I had to find the old version at oldapps.com… No matter, I gave it another chance when I launched barnabasnagy.net and installed the newest stable version 2.7 and after a while I started liking it. But really it’s not as bad as it seemed, I had to switch to blue scheme from the default gray and it was already better. FULL ARTICLE +

I’m really getting off writing on my blogs and waiting for good user feedback and checking the comments with zero reply rate. Why is that? I want to earn money! I also got a nice request for freelance design job by one of my commenter. I sent my samples but no respond till now. It really drives me crazy. Yesterday I still did not finish my touch-screen project, and the worse: I found dozens of more interesting topics to read (not about touch screen) so I’m gonna sink. Have someone a solution for this? FULL ARTICLE +

This great quiz asks you this, how visually do you remember the names of the sites or services you use. In fact, we all have certain visual memory by what we associate things in the world such as websites. I got score 20/30 but I must say for my sake that only 1 or 2 I could not guess though logos were known to me, the rest of the services are mainly unknown for me. So have a check of your knowledge: How Web 2 are you?

It’s a common cliche question and the answer seems to be quite diverse and at the end of all somehow missing… I try to redefine the whole thing, because bloggers out there who give such advices are addicted to the money they get from you by reading their articles. So they tell you the same increasing game over and over again not telling you their real secrets. They just feed you bits by bits so that they can write about it again and again. Finally they go to bloggers Expo’s and tell the great deal. Not like that. I’m somehow unsatisfied with the cake I get.

First I was really suspicious to see the new brilliance of future as they call it, the touch screen. But as I said yesterday in my post I was keen on getting know what on earth is so good on these devices. So I read and read, one article after the other praising how great touch screens are. I don’t swallow things easily so I read and read on technologyreview better and better articles until I found this one: Touch Screens for Many Fingers and saw the recommended videos. Those video’s really made me amazed, I saw before my eyes the “Minority Report” movie in real and much more. I liked this real one even better, without movie effects and scenes. Simple and clean technology speaks for it’s own.

Now, he is employed by Microsoft but put out his genius ideas free on YouTube, JohnnyLee.net etc. I subscribed right away to his YouTube channel! So what’s great about him? Is he able to make from wood a computer? Well, almost. He is human but having great ideas what he actually implements as well until it fully works especially in the touch screen area of computerization. FULL ARTICLE +

I stayed tuned online with my wife yesterday/today night/morning because she had night shift: 7pm-7am. So I woke up once at around 11am then at around 2pm – this was a phone call. At last I really got up at 6pm and the day started at 7pm – yeah the clothing and stuff… It’s really not easy. So now I’m getting back to normal and it’s 21:13

Now, as I launched google, the day dec 5 (xmas) welcomed me with this logo. I don’t only think it’s the worst google-made logo ever, but probably one of the worst in history as well. It really makes me rethink what kind of designers are working over there in Google inc. I saw some good ideas and some moderate ones from the top search engine but this one really rocks them all. For one day I try not to say that google is the top-search engine. Most probably I’m not gonna even use it today. It’s ugly, without good idea and sense. I hope it will be tomorrow soon in order that I can use my usual helpful google. Happy holidays! FULL ARTICLE +

I just again was curious so I checked out a link called CiteULike. I found it still at the touchscreen section of my reading tour. “Accidentally” I hovered over the share button and then I was keen on checking what’s there – somehow I’m really doing this collecting as many social sharing sites in order to boost my traffic, though I did not have yet much boost. Anyway, I checked CiteULike what I met already once and at that time I decided to leave out from my social networking bookmarking or how to say, sites. It’s an awful design and – I design websites – as you may know it for now… So as I gave it another chance I clicked on the browse button to see what’s in and I found this: FULL ARTICLE +

Now I’m reading about touchscreens it would be nice to write about… No, if I want I will. If not than I just save it but my problem is that there are really too many things I want to be updated at and I can’t keep up the speed. Still unread emails in my inboxes and something always happens that I can’t go through. Something that is always more important, something that is actual. Like to go to a shop because this is the last day they’re open before the holidays. By the way, I hate Christmas, I better call it xmas because it has no meaning at all. Anyway, if someone has a usable idea how to be updated with the news I want to read and still not to be confused and got stuck I welcome any advice. FULL ARTICLE +

It was not a long time I started this site and praised the advantages of Zemanta plugin for WordPress, I realized some early backlinks from sources I’ve never though to have link to me. It was namely, the blog of Ben Bleikamp a blogger and user interface mastermind, user experience expert who inspired me in ways lot more than others. I simply liked his style of writing, his unique approach to design and marketing. So I kept an eye on his blog, well, not spent as much time as I’d love to… so he had a big impact on me even though I don’t agree with some of his applications: like the Thesis WP theme FULL ARTICLE +

It was a long way to go but it seems I reach my goal with barnabasnagy.net – I start to love blogging. I know it might sound strange but as I wanted to harness the internet tool to earn money I ended up in several dead ends. Thousands of hour spent for nothing searching for advertisement options but at the end had no revenue, or pretty little. So now it was enough and I started a new phase in my career doing what I really like.
The problem I face many times is how to pay bills, they are paid out somehow, anyways. FULL ARTICLE +
